My thoughts recently have been about hydrogen purification, concentration and storage.   I will post more later but there needs to be some more scientific process and measurement for each of these processes.   I’m not a scientist (by trade) but it seems fairy straight forward to apply scientific method to each of these.Also,  information about other gases can be easily applied.  It’s also quite possible that this information is hidden in a book or somewhere on the internet.  While I do enjoy watching research unfold on Youtube and startups selling their wares, eventually this will become a fable of snake oil or a long standing alternative.

I have done some initial (but not scientific) tests and research on HHO generation.  While reating hydrogen from water using electrolysis is a scientific fact, one part that seem to be missing is storage.

Honda had recently announced their hydrogen car the FCX Clarity.  It has an eletrolysis hydrogen cell built into the car and Honda is also experimenting with a home hydrogen refueling station.

I think that there is a huge potential for DIY’s to tap into this and lead the way into this market.  Inspired by the man to runs his entire house on hydrogen, I think we can all benefit from his example.  There is a lot more research I need to do, however, it seems possible to create hydrogen at home using solar or electricity and pump the H2 into propane canisters. Then you’ll have storage that can be used inplace of an HHO electrolyser.   There is more to this…but this is the general idea.

In 7.2 iTunes Apple has offered educational resources. I took Greek in college and noticed that Concordia Seminary is offering audio, video and helps (which for greek are extra audio clips).

I think that this is tremendous and gives me pause to purchase an AppleTV so I can stream it to my TV.
